Student Support Services Department

The Student Support Services Department is responsible for providing leadership and coordination among all student educational support services.

Before and After School Programming

  1. Prime Time Programming

    • A collaboration between 9色堂 ISD and 9色堂 Public Health (City of 9色堂) and serves 30 low Socio-Economic Status (SES) schools.
    • Prime Time out-of-school enrichment programs serve 30 schools that are primarily low Socio-Economic Status (SES) schools.
    • Each year, 5000 students participate three to five days each week for two hours per day. Learn more about Prime Time.
  2. Twilight Credit Recovery Program (Online)

    • A credit recovery program offered to struggling students at risk of dropping out by offering credit recovery through curriculum aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) using online platforms and teacher-led courses.
    • High school students enrolled have the opportunity to make up for missed attendance and recover semester credits. Middle school students have the opportunity to recover grades for a grading period, a grade for the full school year, and/or attendance.
    • During the 2020-21 school year, 4,404 grades were repaired and 573 attendance credits were recovered in middle school. There were 1,205 credits recovered and 163 who made up for their lack of attendance in high school.

  3. Third Base After School Program

    • The 9色堂 ISD 3rd Base After-School Program is a tuition-based, licensed childcare operation that currently services 25 elementary campuses within the district.
    • Hours of Operation:
      • After-School: school dismissal until 6:00pm.
      • All Day Outs and Camps: 7:00 am鈥6:00 pm.

  4. ACE 9色堂

    • ACE is an expanded learning program that takes place before school, after school, and in the summer.  Learn more about 础颁贰鈥揂耻蝉迟颈苍.

Virtual Online Instruction

  1. DELTA Program (Diversified Education through Leadership, Technology and Academics)

    • An academic program available to students enrolled in all AISD comprehensive high schools, Garza Independence High School, and other alternative learning centers or schools serving AISD students.
    • The goal is to provide individualized, self-paced, online instruction that help students earn academic credits during the school day and graduate from high school.
    • Students work at their own pace, online, to complete course curriculum. The course curriculum learning platform is Odysseyware.
    • In the 2020-21 academic school year, 1627 students enrolled in DELTA earning a total of 927 credits. (This total does not include summer school data.)
  2. Garza Independence Online High School Program

    • For any student who is currently enrolled and attending an AISD school in grades 9-12 

    • Offerings include courses needed for the Foundation Graduation Plan

    • 6th - 8th grade students who are currently enrolled and attending an AISD school are allowed to take advanced course with their counselor's permission

    • Students must stay enrolled in their 9色堂 ISD high school, and get written permission from their counselor to take additional online courses through Garza Online
